In case you were planning to travel, this year’s Music Midtown festival at Piedmont Park in Atlanta has been canceled.  Originally scheduled for Sept 17-18, a recent court ruling determined the festival was not allowed to ban guns from the event – which is a requirement in many artist riders.

A statement from the festival website reads:

“Hey Midtown fans — due to circumstances beyond our control, Music Midtown will no longer be taking place this year. We were looking forward to reuniting in September and hope we can all get back to enjoying the festival together again soon.”
