Ben Feigin, Emmy Winner and executive producer of the award winning comedy ‘Schitts Creek’, has died from pancreatic cancer. He was 47.

Feigin’s role as a producer was pivotal for the success of ‘Schitt’s Creek’, as the show received an Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series, a Golden Globe for Best Musical or Comedy Television series, and a PGA for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television for a Comedy.

Feigin worked with an array of non-profits that include The Tony Hawk Foundation, StandUp2Cancer, The Creative Coalition, and Gilda’s Club World-Wide, following his pancreatic cancer diagnosis, according to Deadline.

He also was an active member and served as a Judge for the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and has led an array of classes at UC Santa Barbara, UCLA, and NYU.

Feigin is survived by his wife Heidi Feigin and 11-year-old daughter, Ellie.
