Disney announced a new visual album inspired by The Lion King! The visual album, Black is King is written, directed and executive produced by Beyonce. It will premiere globally on Disney Plus on July 31, 2020. The one minute trailer dropped Saturday night on her website at Beyonce.com. The film is based on the music of The Lion King: The Gift. The visual album reimagines lessons of the The Lion King for today’s young kings and queens in search of their own crowns.
