Trick or treaters might be getting alternate options at Halloween this year.
Hershey chief executive Michele Buck said on Thursday the company won’t be able to fully meet consumer demands this year due to capacity constraints.
Buck said Hershey makes its seasonal candies and all-year-round products on the same manufacturing equipment as its candy, and demand in candy has exceeded the company’s expectations.
“Given many of our everyday and seasonal products are made on the same line, we have needed to balance production over the past several months to improve everyday on-shelf availability and build seasonal inventory at the same time,” Buck said.
Stock up on your candy now or you might be the house that is known for giving out apples!
