Cardi B is making the most of quarantine by touching up her various tattoos while springing for some new ink, as well. On Monday, the “I Like It” rapper showed off her touched-up peacock tattoo that spans from her waist to her right upper thigh, which she’s had for about a decade.
Cardi was sure to show off the impressive before and after shots on Instagram, which showed how much the ink had faded over the past 10 years. The 27-year-old not only updated her ink with vivid colors, she also made it more stylized.
“So after ten years I gave my peacock tattoo a makeover,” the Grammy winner wrote. “This whole week I been takin hours of pain getting tatted.”
The reimagined tattoo not only boasts a more realistic looking peacock, it is also hyper-realistic with extra details painted into the tail feathers. The ink also now sports a neon pink monarch butterfly, various vines and flowers, and intensely saturated coloring filling in the blank spaces.
This isn’t the only ink Cardi sprung for during COVID-19. Last month, she showed off the massive floral tattoo that runs from her entire back and down to her left leg.
“Okay guys!Soooo here it is!It took me several months but I’m finally finished,” she announced at the time. “his is my back tattoo! It goes from the top of my back to the middle of my thigh.”
