Dorian now a Category 3 hurricane

Dorian is now a Category 3 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 115 mph and could strengthen to a Category 4 storm by the time it’s expected to make landfall at Florida late Monday or early Tuesday.

A Category 4 storm packs 140 mph winds.

CBS News reports the National Weather Service is warning of a possible “triple-threat of dangers” in the form of “life-threatening storm surge, devastating hurricane-force winds and heavy rain.”
Residents have been urged to stock up on at least 7 days worth of supplies, including food, water, and medication.
