Today’s question: Sierra Vista, Arizona is a military town with plenty of canyons and archeological dig sites…. but it’s real claim to fame is that it’s also home to the first McDonalds Drive-Thru ever!
Back in 1975, this particular store had trouble getting customers to come inside to order at the counter, so the owner decided to cut a hole in the side of the building & when he did business boomed and McDonalds added this feature to all of their stores across the world. I need you to tell me why (in this specific location) was it essential for the restaurant to create a drive thru?
