Today’s question: I predict that all of the radio hosts here in this room have never heard this next phrase before (partly because everyday I see a lot of stained sweatpants) but there’s a saying for when you’re looking sharp…it’s called “Dressed to the Nines.”
Today, we use it as a slang for dressing up and looking good, but the phrase originated back in 19th century Europe. What did it mean back then when someone was “Dressed to the Nines?”
