The Junior League of Boca Raton is accepting donations for Bahamian hurricane victims and items can be dropped off at its headquarters, the Vegso Community Resource Center at 261 N.W. 13th Street. The Junior League is partnering with Boca Raton Fire Rescue Services so donations can also be dropped at Firehouses 1 and 5. Donations will be accepted Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
“Our hearts are with our Bahamian friends who have suffered unimaginable tragedy. We hope members of our community will consider donating their unused hurricane supplies to those so desperately in need,” Cristy Stewart-Harfmann, president of the Junior League of Boca Raton said.
For members of the community that are unable to drop supplies in person, supplies can also be sent directly through Amazon:
Throughout the year, JLBR members contribute more than 35,000 volunteer hours and donate more than $250,000 to support the organization’s mission of training volunteers, developing the potential of women and improving the South Florida community.
