In addition to SAG-AFTRA launching an investigation into the exit of Gabrielle Union from America’s Got Talent, NBC is launching its own investigation as well.

Union’s legal team is scheduled to meet with NBC representatives to investigate allegations of a “toxic” and “racially” insensitive work environment on the set of AGT.

According to Variety, Gabrielle Union’s contract wasn’t renewed after she reported an incident of a racist joke told in her presence by Jay Leno, she also was told that her hairstyles were “too black.”

A statement to CNN from NBC, along with production company Fremantle and Simon Cowell’s company Syco stated, “We are working with Ms. Union through her representatives to hear more about her concerns, following which we will take whatever next steps may be appropriate.”
