Beyonce and her hubby Jay-Z gave a memorable speech last night as they received the Vanguard Award at the 30th GLAAD Media Awards.
In the speech, Jay-Z gave props to his mom, who came out as a lesbian and said, “I get to follow in her footsteps for spreading love and acceptance.”
Beyonce also spoke of acceptance and love and she asked people to “speak out and protect those who are marginalized.”
Beyonce also thanked her husband for championing the cause of the LGBTQ community in hip-hop which can at times be homophobic.
