Hulu will run political ads leading up to the midterm elections, the company announced.

“After a thorough review of ad policies across its linear networks and streaming platforms over the last few months, Disney is now aligning Hulu’s political advertising policies to be consistent with the company’s general entertainment and sports cable networks and ESPN+,” Disney said in a statement released Wednesday.

Disney is the parent company of the streaming service.

According to the Washington Post, Hulu originally  was refusing to run Democratic political ads that highlight key issues like reproductive rights and gun control.

Hulu reportedly has a policy prohibiting ads that feature content considered controversial according to an article published in Rolling Stone.
