The 94th Academy Awards revealed their shortlist for 10 categories, one being Best Original Song.
The shortlist sees Jay-Z and Beyonce competing against each other.
Kid Cudi and Jay-Z made the list of 15 songs for Guns Go Bang from the Harder They Fall soundtrack.
Beyonce made the list for Be Alive from the King Richard soundtrack.
If both Jay-Z and Beyonce make it onto the final list they will make history as the first couple to compete in the same category
Others on the list of 15 include, Jennifer Hudson for Here I Am from the Respect biopic.
H.E.R made the list for Automatic from the Brusied soundtrack.
Kid Cudi actually made the list twice. He has a song with Ariana  Grande Just Look Up from the Don’t Look Up soundtrack.
Official nominations will be announced on February 8th. Awards will be announced on March 27th in LA.
