Just as Lil Nas X reaches the top of the charts again, he’s preparing to drop another single.
On Sunday, the 22-year-old singer teased his upcoming track and the accompanying visuals on social media.
“In the ‘sun goes down’ video I go back in time to visit a younger version self who’s struggling inside, hating himself, & doesn’t want to live anymore,” he wrote. “I try my best to uplift him. can’t wait to share this song and video with you guys… this one is really special to me.”
Along with the tweet, Lil Nas shared headshots — seemingly from the music video — that show himself dressed in a pearly white suit.
“Sun Goes Down” is set to be released on Friday, May 22, however, fans can pre-save the record now.
