Meghan and Harry have relinquished their titles of His and Her Royal Highness.
They have also given up rights to public funds as part of a deal that allows them to end their roles as royals.
They do retain their titles of Duchess and Duke of Sussex.
They have agreed to repay the $3.1 million in U.S. dollars in renovations to a home they were to share near Windsor Castle.
That expense was part of the public uproar about them wanting their independence.
In a statement Queen Elizabeth wrote, I recognize the challenges they have experienced as a result of intense scrutiny over the last two years and support their wish for a more independent life.
The couple has also chosen baby Archie’s Godparents. Tiggy Pettifer, Harry and Prince William’s former nanny, is one of the godparents, along with Mark Dyer, a former officer of honor to Prince Charles.
Do you think they will ever move past it?
