Miami Heat fans; meet the new arena, same as the old one! Earlier in the week, city officials announced that a change is going to come. The Heat won’t be leaving the venue that’s been their home for the last two decades, but it will be getting a new name soon. According to Deputy Mayor Ed Marquez, a “nationally renowned company” will be buying the naming rights starting in January, for a term that will run through almost all of 2030, then adding the option to renew again for another 10 years. Even though the name change is in the future, American says they will still remain the team’s official airline.
