This weekend was Pharrell’s three-day Something in the Water festival in his home town of Virginia.

Day 1 (Friday) was rained out. Migos, Usher and Janelle Monae were among those unable to perform.

Saturday saw a 90-minute star-studded set from Pharrell that included on stage appearances from Jay-Z, Snoop, Charlie Wilson, Missy, Timbaland and more.

During Diddy’s set he made mention of the 1989 Greekfest. It was a Labor Day college party that ended with African American students, police and the Virginia National Guard clashing. It is considered one of the darkest moments in Virginia.

Diddy said that Pharrell came along and brought everything back up.
