Legendary DJ D-Nice through an epic virtual online party over the weekend. The DJ, who came up during Hip-Hop’s renaissance in the 80s with the likes of KRS-One and Boogie Down Productions, is also the one who discovered Kid Rock.
D-Nice spun a set of old school and disco favorites for hours for music lovers stuck inside due to the Coronavirus. Dropping by the Saturday online party were presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, Rihanna, Mark Zuckerberg, Dwayne Wade and even Janet Jackson and Michelle Obama.
Over 100,000 people joined D-Nice’s online party. “Music is a vibration. It is a universal language. It is who I am. It is what I do as a DJ,” said D-Nice.
The Instagram party continued on Sunday evening with Gabrielle Union, Spike Lee, and even Lionel Ritchie popping in for some Coronavirus relief.
