Shots were fired Friday at President Trump’s Mar-a-lago resort.
Authorities say officers fired upon a vehicle that breached a security checkpoint about 11:40 a.m. The black SUV had approached the area at a high rate of speed, then sped off as authorities pursued on the ground and by air.
The AP reports two people were taken into custody by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office. No word on injuries or subsequent details.
The President wasn’t at the Florida property at the time but is scheduled to arrive later in the day.
