Saturday Night Live is coming back for a 48th season after cancelation rumors were being spread.

The show will return Oct. 1, followed by consecutive shows on Oct. 8 and Oct. 15. No hosts or musical guests have been announced.

Notable cast members Alex Moffat, Melissa Villaseñor, Aristotle Athari, as well as long-time staples Aidy Bryant, Pete Davidson, Kate McKinnon and Kyle Mooney won’t be returning this season.

The longest tenured member of the cast, Kenan Thompson, said earlier this summer he believes the series should come to an end soon.
