The politics of Taylor Swift’s father may have angered the Swifties, Scott Swift deactivated his Facebook page after Taylor shared her father’s funny post about tricking his health tracker, which led Taylor’s fans on an investigation of her father’s Facebook page.
Swifties found Scott Swift’s conservative views, which included posts in support of Blue Lives Matter, the lack of support for Democratic presidential nominee, Elizabeth Warren and his stance on immigration, appalling.

“The IRS has returned my tax return to me this year after I apparently answered one of the questions incorrectly… In response to the question, ‘Do you have anyone dependent on you?’ I wrote: ‘9.5 million illegal immigrants, 1.1 million crackheads, 3.4 million unemployable scroungers, 80,000 criminals in over 85 prisons plus 650 idiots in Washington’. The IRS stated the answer I gave was ‘unacceptable!'” Read one of Scott’s posts.

Taylor’s political stance is the opposite of her father’s, on her latest song, “You Need To Calm Down,” Taylor sings about her support of the LGBTQ community. Swifties were quick to call the singer out over her father’s posts, which led to Scott Swift deactivating his page.
