YouTube Reschedules Virtual Commencement Ceremony With The Obamas, Beyoncé Due To George Floyd Memorial Service

YouTube has rescheduled the virtual commencement ceremony with the Obamas and Beyonce out of respect for George Floyd’s memorial service which is scheduled for Saturday.

The commencement was to take place on Saturday, however now it’s been moved to Sunday, June 7th, at noon. Over 70 celebrities, politicians, influencers, and music artists will take part in the special “Class of 2020” graduation.

Michelle Obama’s “Reach Higher” Initiative will host the first hour, followed by former President Obama with the keynote address in the fourth hour.

Performances from Beyonce, Katy Perry, BTS, Megan Thee Stallion, Lizzo, Chloe x Halle, and Maluma. Remarks will be given by Lady Gaga, BTS, and Alphabet and Google CEO, Sundar Pichai.
